Baked Sweet Potatoes Wash the sweet potatoes and prick skins with a fork. Place in oven and bake at 350 degrees until done. It will take 45 minutes to an hour for them to be tender. You can shorten the time by microwaving the potaotes for a few minutes before putting them in the conventional oven. Cut an X in the top of the baked potato and fill the slot with butter. Sprinkle on a bit of brown sugar if you choose. Yummy!
