Potato lovers often search for tips on how to roast potatoes. Roasted potatoes are a favorite side dish with pot roast, pork roast and many other meals. Oven roasted potatoes may be the most common way to roast potatoes however potatoes can be roasted on the grill and even in the crockpot. Oven Roasted Potatoes: Preheat your oven to 400 F. Cut the potatoes into uniform sized chunks so they will roast evenly. Toss the potato chunks with olive oil until the pieces are fully coated. Put several tablesoons of olive oil in a shallow roasting pan. Add the oiled potato pieces and season them with salt, garlic powder or paprika as you choose. Other flavoring such as dry Ranch dressing mix add unique flavor as well. Place the roasting pan in the preheated oven and roast the potatoes for 30 minutes; turn the potato pieces over and roast for another 20 to 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and slightly browned.
