How to Grow Potatoes Anywhere

Potatoes--My Favorite Food!
We lived in the country and farmed for many years. We planted potatoes on a pretty large scale and sold some to neighbors, saved some for seed potatoes, etc.
As our kids grew, and began to leave home, we sold the farm and moved to a smaller house that had a large yard and garden plot. We scaled back our potato patch but still had several rows of potatoes growing in the garden.
Now, with the kids all gone, and grandkids coming along, we live in the city with a very small yard. I had given up on gardening until I began to read articles about how to grow potatoes in small spaces. (like some of the advice on pages of this site).
I don't really want to grow potatoes in tires (the neighbors might protest) but I do see now that I can grow potatoes in baskets or other containers in my yard or on my patio.
I can't wait for the weather to warm up enough to try it! I would love to hear from others that have done that as well.
Thanks again for this wonderful website!!! As soon as I have a potato crop, I will be back to post some of my favorite recipes as well.
