There is a baked sweet potato recipe to go with almost any meal.
We love traditional baked potatoes, however more and more frequently we choose a baked sweet potato recipe.
The flavor of sweet potatoes is perfect with pork chops, ham and many other meals.
These tasty and nutritious tubers can be fixed in so many ways that it's unlikely you will ever tire of them.
Mix salt, sugar and flour together and sprinkle over sweet potatoes. Dot with butter. Add marshmallows and cream. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 45 minutes. Check with a fork for tenderness. Sprinkle with chopped nuts after baking.
Wash potatoes. Bake in 350 degree oven until done but still firm. Cut in half lengthwise and scoop potato flesh out of skins.
Mash scooped out potatoes, adding butter, salt and orange juice. Stir in pineapple and walnuts. Refill potato half-shells with mixture. Cut each marshmallow in half and place two halves on top of each potato half-shell. Place in hot oven until marshmallows are heated through and slightly browned on top.
Stir ingredients together. Bake in casserole dish at 400 degrees for 45 minutes.
Cook sweet potatoes until tender in boiling salted water; prick with fork to check. Peel and mash. Add sugar, butter, salt and spices. Stir in milk. Put in buttered casserole. Sprinkle with nutmeg and sugar. Bake at 400 degree for 30 to 35 minutes.
Peel onions and slice into 5 equal slices. Scrub potatoes well and cut into 6 equal crosswise slices. Dredge onions and sides of potatoes in cheese. Reassemble potatoes with a slice of onion between each slice of potato.
Wrap each sweet potato in aluminum foil that has a pat of butter on it. Seal foil and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.

4 (8-ounce) sweet potatoes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Sour cream for topping
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Scrub potatoes. Cut most of the way through each potato at 1/8-inch intervals so that potatoes look like an accordion.
Brush potatoes with oil allowing the oil to drizzle between the slices as much as possible.
Place potatoes on a baking sheet.
Bake at 400° for 1 to 11/2 hours or until tender.
Sprinkle potatoes evenly with salt.
Serve with a topping of sour cream or other sauce of your choice.
