It takes only a few minutes to do the preparation for a basic baked sweet potato chip recipe. These are great for a party or for late evening, movie watching snacking. If you don't have time to make your own, it's great to have some baked sweet potato snack paks on hand. Kids really love them.
Ingredients:
1 large sweet potato, peeled
Olive oil or olive oil cooking spray
1/8 tsp kosher salt, or to taste
Other flavorings as you choose like garlic or onion salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Spray 2 baking sheets with cooking spray.
Slice sweet potatoes into thin slices...no more than 1/8-inch thick. They will be crispier if they are thinner.
Arrange slices in a single layer on the baking sheets. Spray the sweet potato slices with a little more oil and sprinkle them with salt. Bake the sweet potato chips for about 15 minutes or until they become lightly browned (the centers should still be orange).
Cool and serve.
